Winter is coming! Well to everyone else, but not to Tropical North Queensland. We enjoy average daily temperatures of 22-26 degrees Celsius during winter in Cape Tribulation. It is a tough life but I guess someone has to do it!
So while you are sitting on the train on the way to work, wearing your 5 layers of clothing, let me show you what we will be doing in Cape Tribulation this winter…
During winter crocodiles spend more time sunning themselves on the banks of the Daintree River. Spot the big boys and see which hatchlings have survived their first months. Our daily Cape Tribulation tour enjoys an afternoon cruise on the Daintree River.
Winter is the dry season in Tropical North Queensland, enjoy the sunshine and open immersion exhibits at Wildlife Habitat where they literally put YOU in the ZOO! Lots of opportunities for close encounters with over 100 species of Australia animals.
BEST coastal drive in Australia
The Great Barrier Reef Drive offers amazing views. This is the only place in the world where two World Heritage listed sites are on either side of you!
Having a tropical winter in Cape Tribulation
No need to pack any of the winter woollies for this trip, it’s singlets, floral skirts, board shorts and coconuts all the way!!
Enjoying the view…..
No words are required, but you should send a picture of this snap to the guys back in the office 🙂
Snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef
During winter in Cape Tribulation we enjoy average sea temperatures of 24 degrees. Opt to stay overnight and go snorkeling with Ocean Safari.
OK so fun is not just restricted to the winter time in Tropical North Queensland, but both the daily and night time weather certainly encourages exploration and outside activities; and no fires, beanies, gloves, scarfs or jackets are required!
See you soon in the Rainforest!!
